With both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), I have built my career around one central belief: quality healthcare should not be determined by a person’s ZIP code, income, mobility, or access to a traditional medical office.

My clinical background includes extensive surgical experience and work within major hospitals throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Over time, however, my work increasingly moved beyond the walls of the hospital and into the communities where access to care is often most limited.

My commitment to community-based healthcare has included serving underserved communities in South Dallas and working in partnership with the local housing authority to develop healthcare clinics within community hubs, bringing care closer to where patients live.

House-call medicine has also been an important part of my work. Before the age of 40, I built and sold a successful house-call practice and operated an assisted living facility serving individuals with special needs. That experience helped shape my understanding of what healthcare looks like when it is designed around the patient rather than the facility. I am now expanding the house-call model to serve patients throughout the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area.

My work has also extended into residential care for individuals with mental health and related needs, including the development and sale of a healthcare business to support the establishment of a residential living facility for this population.

Recognizing that healthcare access challenges extend well beyond urban communities, over my career I expanded my work into rural healthcare as a provider practicing in collaboration with Grace Mercy Clinic, serving Palmer, Corsicana, surrounding rural communities, and the greater DFW region.

Throughout my career, I have founded healthcare initiatives focused on improving healthcare delivery, education, accessibility, and patient care. Whether working in an urban neighborhood, a patient's home, a residential setting, or a rural community, the mission remains the same: meet people where they are and build healthcare around the realities of their lives.
